Celebrations of the Eucharist

Every day at 12.30 hours
In the absence of the pastor Word-and Communion celebrations are held.

Saturdays at 18.30 hours Children’s service (see below)
Sundays sung Mass at 10.30 hours

Children’s Mass
Every Saturday evening at 18.30 hours there is a special Celebration of the Eucharist for children, in which they themselves can take an active part.

Rosary

Every Saturday, 13.30 hours.
In May (19.30) and October (16.00) Mo-Fr
Divine office is said in our church on a daily basis by the pastor and others. One can attend the morning prayers at 7.30 hours and the evening prayers at 17.30 hours. This prayers last about half an hour.

Holy Adoration

Every Friday from 13.00 – 18.00 hours
The Host is the consecrated wafer, contained in a ‘monstrance’, a golden casket. This is placed on the altar, above the tabernacle (the box with the consecrated wafers in chalices).
According to the teachings, the Host is the body of Christ, in the shape of bread. Christ ‘gave’ himself to the people during the Last Supper. He broke the loaf and distributed it to his friends (the apostles) saying: ‘this is my body that will be broken for you.’ After that the wine ‘this is my blood’. Display or Adoration is the Monstrance standing there.

Holy Baptism (children)

Children are baptized preferably during one of the Celebrations of the Eucharist in the weekend. This happens three times a year. Every baptismal ceremony is preceded by two preparatory discussion evenings for the parents of the children receiving baptism. This is led by the Working Group Baptism of Children. First Holy Communion

If they feel ready for it, children frequenting the children’s Mass can receive the First Holy Communion in an extra festive celebration.

Holy Baptism (adults) and Holy Confirmation

The Holy Baptism is administered to adults on Easter Saturday Evening. The Holy Confirmation is administered to people aged 16 and over, in the period after Easter, by the bishop or his representative. Preparation on both sacraments takes place through some preparatory rites and during a short course starting in November annually.

Sacrament of Reconciliation (confession)

On Mondays consultations from 16.00-17.00 and on Fridays from 14.00-16.30.
Confessions by appointment with pastor Valkering.

Communion for the sick

If people can’t come to church anymore, they can receive the Communion at home. Please contact pastor Valkering.

Holy Unction

Every year the last rites are administered on one of the Sundays of the Lent, during Mass.
This is meant for people who are seriously ill, who are to undergo a major operation and old people who are clearly weakening. Of course administration is also possible at home or in hospital. Please contact the pastor.

Funeral service

This takes place preferably from the church at 12.30, the time of the daily Eucharist. Please contact the pastor as soon as possible after a decease.
